Catching up with the Christisons: Women's Conference Week(end)

Women's Conference..aka girl party in Utah! My cute mother was the keynote speaker and was amazing (a few of her quotes have already been pinned and tweeted). I felt inspired and eager to be just a little better after hearing her talk.

The theme came from 1 Nephi 14:14: "And they were armed with righteousness and with the power of God in great glory.

I walked away wanted to try a little harder to be a lot better every day. I'm lucky to be inspired and taught by such an incredible mother. I love her.

AND lucky for all us of, because she was speaking, every one of her sisters, her parents, and some of my favorite cousins joined the LYJ(O)B weekend party.

We hung out at City Creek...SIDE NOTE: Mickey Drexler stopped Jen and I outside of J. Crew to ask us a few questions. We chatted with him for a good five mins about life. He seemed amazing. We were on a "we just met a celebrity" high for like 25 minutes after. The real highlight of City Creek was hanging out with my aunts, cousins, grandparents, sisters, mom, and the newest member of the family, Lila Elizabeth Blais.

Naturally, we ate our way through the weekend like any foodies would (dark chocolate PB cups (Trader Joes), kettle corn, candied almonds, cinnamon bears, Sky Room luncheon, Pei Wei, Cafe Rio, Menchie's, revel bars, Juanita chips & salsa, etc.) AND visited all weekend long. My mom's side of the family is famous for "visiting." AKA talking and talking for hours and hours. AND then some more. I'm lucky to be part of a tight-knit group that truly loves each other and are best friends.

I'm so sad the party is over..and so sad that Jen and John had to go back home..but I guess that means we need to start planning the next Jones family party..Phoenix? NYC? A beach house in OBX?

I'm so lucky to be part of such a fabulous family. AND so lucky to have the best mother in the world.
